Wiggle started many moons ago in Windsor, Ontario and Detroit, Michigan then moved to
Vancouver in 1995 along with multi-media artist collective “The House of Venus” with Michael
Venus at the helm. Venus celebrates Wiggle’s 16th year in Vancouver, having been a part of the
city’s fashion, drag and underground scene, launching many up and coming artists’ careers. The
annual showcase offers creative people of all types the chance to escape reality, let go and live
the fantasy.
Wiggle attracts a diverse crowd that wants to see a great avant-garde show, including rock stars
like Michael Stipe of R.E.M. and Blondie’s very own Deborah Harry. Last year’s production
welcomed Alanis Morrisette and Douglas Coupland to the roster of all star audience attendees.
